Chigu Camp is an offbeat resort nestled in nature, located 50 km away from Anini town in the village of Acheso, Arunachal Pradesh, within the stunning Dibang Valley. This unique resort has captured the hearts of many tourists with its breathtaking scenery, bamboo cottages, snow-capped mountains in the backdrop, pine trees surrounding the area, and a river flowing in front of the resort.

Chigu Camp offers a total of 10 rooms, with a guest capacity of 20. Due to the remote location and lack of network connectivity in the village, making a reservation in advance is crucial, as there is no guarantee of room availability upon arrival. Be sure to inquire about room availability beforehand to ensure your stay at this tranquil haven in Anini.

How to Reach Chigu Camp?

By Train: The nearest railway station to Chigu Camp is New Tinsukia Junction, located in Assam, 375 km away from Chigu Camp. To cover this distance, you will need 3 days of travel. On the first day, you will halt at Roing, which is 110 km from Tinsukia. The following day, you’ll travel 225 km to Anini, which takes around 7-8 hours. From Anini, Chigu Camp is 50 km away, and the journey takes approximately 3 hours. While it’s possible to reach Chigu Camp from Tinsukia in 2 days, we recommend taking 3 days due to the road conditions.

By Air: The nearest airport to Chigu Camp is in Dibrugarh, Assam, located 430 km from the resort and 370 km from Anini. The journey from Dibrugarh to Chigu Camp will take 3 days. On the first day, you will travel 150 km to Roing, which takes around 4 hours. On the second day, travel 7-8 hours from Roing to Anini. On the third day, it will take another 2-3 hours to reach Chigu Camp from Anini.

How to book Chigu Camp ?

Pre-booking at Chigu Camp is essential due to the lack of network connectivity in the region, making it difficult to contact the camp directly. If you don’t make a reservation in advance and arrive without booking, there’s a chance you may not get a room. Additionally, if there are no tourists, the resort staff may not be present.
